What would that entail? A Glenn Mathewson, a building inspector in Westminster, Colo., responds: The 2006 International Residential Code (IRC) contains limited provisions for ramp construction. The slope cannot be steeper than 1:12, but can be increased to 1:8 with the specific approval from a building official and the addition of a single handrail. Also, a 36-inch-by-36-inch landing is required
