Post-and-Beam Porch

by Laurie Elden

The Tudor style of the existing house inspired the post-and-beam structure of this dramatic porch addition, according to architect Rick Goldstein, owner of Atlanta–based DeckWright, which designed and built the project. Rough-sawn cedar was used throughout to contribute a rustic feel, in keeping with the homeowner’s affinity for the outdoors. — Laurie Elden
