The Tapco Group recently added Clubhouse decking and railing products to its lineup. Acquired from Ohio-based Deceuninck North America, the Clubhouse line includes PVC decking, vinyl railing, and an outdoor lighting collection, as well as deck-related accessories such as fasteners and balusters. According to Filip Geeraert, president and CEO of Deceuninck North America, the sale will allow his company to focus instead on their core door and window business. Deceuninck employees who worked on the Clubhouse line will be offered other opportunities within Deceuninck, notes Geeraert.

For Tapco, the acquisition will allow the company to expand its outdoor living offerings, according to Dave Ulmer, president of The Tapco Group. “To help our customers grow in today’s competitive marketplace, we are constantly exploring opportunities to innovate our product line—both organically and through acquisition,” states Ullmer in a press release. While Michigan-based Tapco manufacturers a number of different building products here in the US, including siding, trim, and shutters, its only decking product prior to the purchase of Clubhouse was the Kleer line of capped cellular PVC decking. Terms of the sale - announced in late January 2016 - weren't disclosed.
