Good morning all,

I recently posted about beam placement. In the meantime, I spoke with my local township code officer and inquired about my ideas for beam placement. He ackknowledged my current design but, advised me to basically create my own engineered I-beam using PT plywood and 2x12's. He said this is what he wanted to see for my situation.

My question to all of you is does anyone know of a simpson strongtie bracket that I could attach the joists to this type of beam? The hurricane/rafter ties I have seen don't look like they will work for this type of beam. Does anyone know of a specific bracket that would work or a manner to attach the beams to the joists?
