Hi... I need some help connecting a 48" walkway around a corner of a house and connect to a deck. This is on my own home and I want to have the right answers as I apply for a permit. The construction is an addition to an existing house and the walkway is code compliant. At the time of original construction, I hadn't figure on how I was going to compplete the back of the house. The situation seems to be that I have to cantilever the walkway 8' past where the 1st pier can go. Or possibly a structural bracket coming off the foundation. I can post pictures...be can't find a photo album section. I can give my pm if this is something that is best discussed off the board..or if there is a structural person I can speak with.....Thanks!
