Pitching to these people is a lot harder than selling to a customer because if they recommend your product or services they are putting there neck’s on the block. Take pictures of your work, put together a sales packet and make an appointment to see them in person. Do not try to pitch over the phone. Go to pool supply stores. They would have contact with more pools than a person that installs. It would not heart to pitch to them all. Word of mouth and quality work will be your best bet for advertising. Get business cards also, and leave them every where. A telephone no. or e-mail address would be helpful also. Leave room in your cost for a one time $20 referrral rebate. I don’t think you would need a web site right away. You don’t want to bring in business from three states over.
Leave cards:
Pool supplies
Pool installers
Pool sellers
Lumber yard clerks
Wal-Mart clerks
Home depot clerks
Lowe’s clerks
K-mart clerks
Shop class teacher
Landscaping business
Garden shops
Flower shops
