Great headlines upscale clients Are hard to find. I have been looking and very upscale magazines for great headlines. I've found a couple that should work very well with deck ad.
This headline was found in a woman's magazine advertising some anti-wrinkle cream the headline says "have you discovered nature's secrets for ageless beauty?" I think this would go great with a wood deck Ad
This next one came from a Bentley car advertisement "the greatest luxury in life is time. savor every second." this could be a great headline for a deck ad with someone relaxing on it.
Keep your eyes peeled for great headlines post them here. Then when you need a great headline for a ad you would be running there should be quite a number of them to chose from.

I found a couple more. " Nature's Gifts Wood " you could put any type of wood with a great picture of a wood deck.
Here's another one " keep look of time off your deck " this would be a great headline for maintenance Company that use superior stains like One Time.
I'll keep looking what makes it great headline is that it is short six words or less and portrays a message that would catch the readers attention to draw them into your ad's body copy.

I met a great guy from Austrailia (not sure I spelled this correctly) He was as sharp and as likeable as they come. He told me and then showed me a marketing tactic he employed. He had a full color picture plastered to the back of a few city buses with one of his salepeople who obvioulsly was in shape, who was wearing boots and nothing else holding a circular saw around the mid region covering himself, and looking like a deer caught in the headlights. The signage said " Is your Deck too Small? We can help!" Talking about instant name brand recognition, he got it. The local news stations were all over it and it stirred up some activity. In the end he did not get in trouble but most people have heard of his company. I don't have the nerve nor am I suggesting anyone try this. Just thought some of you would find this interesting. I also hope this is acceptable on this forum and I'm not in trouble.

Here's a great headline "the intelligent approach for the sophisticated deck buyer" who would not want to be intelligent or sophisticated?

"Why not be ready for the first warm day of spring?"
I used this last fall on about 5000 flyers and stayed busy all winter! This week,
10000 flyers go out with the same headline over a photo of a deck we did this summer that is covered in colorful flowers.

The Bentley ad headline should work well for those advertising composite decks along with a couple of pictures. First pic of folks relaxing on a nice composite deck & one of a guy sweating while scrubbing/cleaning his deck followed with " what would you rather be doing?"

100% equity return
While other home inprovement items return lower then 50% of your invested cash a new deck will return 90% or more of what was invested

you could always run your ad usually with the website listed first such as:
www.killerdecks.com
your phone #
liscense # and end it with
steve gives good deck
i usually use reverse printing which means if all the ads are balck letters w/ white background
than use white letters on a black background.
doesn't cost any more and the eye goes right to it

That was an original idea for sure. I'd never do anything close to that....things can go very wrong very quickly when you bring sex into business. I'd suggest anyone serious about the long haul staying out of that arena. There are a million other good sayings out there that will do twice the business. Heck, I doubled my gross income when I changed the business name to what it is now. I can't imagine what it could do if I could find a slogan I like

how about:
if you can still afford to keep you house, how about building a deck on it?
