Hi Ya'll,
Jimmy from Reading, Pa here. Just thought I would say that with all the great deck building you all do that if the first step in cleaning and chosing the right stains is a wrong one, your decks are not going to look great. Most of you do not have the time to stain a deck or maintain one because you are slammed most of the season. Why not allow a qualified deck restoration company be refered to your customers so that you can have peace of mind that your work will stand the test of time.
Just one mistake I will leave you with so you can get an idea of what can go wrong. Every piece of lumber in the lumber yard has been coated with a protectant called parafin wax. This stuff is loaded on the wood to help protect it because in all actuality it will be stacked in a pile until the time comes to load it up for you guys as you place your order. You install this deck to the customer specifications and it looks good structure wise. The mistake you may make as well as most homeowners is to either leave it alone thinking it has to age which is the wrong thing to do as the Suns uv rays are attacking it from day one as well as other elements. The second mistake is to stain right over the wax build up causing a finish to look blotchity and like that of a leopard.
Beyond this there are many more mistakes, but the list would be long. I have friends from alot of different areas in the U.S. that are qualified as well as myself. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
