Tired of hearing about outdoor furniture blowing off docks and into the water, a Florida company invented the Chadirondack—half chaise, half Adirondack chair—which disappears into the deck when not in use. A deck can be retrofitted with the hardware in less than an hour, the company says, and because existing decking becomes the seat, there’s never a worry about grain or color matching. The seat is deployed by pulling on a strap and then adjusting the back. Putting the seat away is just as fast, the company says. When stowed, the Chadirondack is flush with the deck surface and takes up less than 7 inches in height underneath. Deccessories, 407.583.6251, deccessories.com
