Hitachi's new hardware nailer, model NR38AK, weighs less than 5 pounds and is small enough to get into cramped quarters. As Tim Uhler reports for Tools of the Trade, the gun holds a single strip of 1 1/2-inch fasteners, which is how Hitachi was able to make it as compact as it is, but which also forces more frequent reloading.
